Yearly physical...

I've been pretty neurotic the last couple years about getting a physical every year.  Especially since I was put on BP meds about 2 years ago.  I've had some other meds come into the picture and that's prevented me from trying for a baby--- and for the last year I was told no.  My husband and I also decided that I needed a break from 7 years of babymaking, year 8 was the break.  Today was the "what can we do now."

The answer was, from my new doc (my old one moved) was that my BP was under control, lets cut off one med, change another and I got the green light.

GREEN LIGHT.

For trying to make a baby.

I still have PCOS, duh, but my body have been functioning normally for a year now.  I'm healthier, less stress, and just feel better on whole about everything.

The husband and I are now trying to decide- do we start right away, do we think about it, do we try for a bit then go back on the clomid and more route.... so many "what to do now" options.

But who cares.
BP is under control.
My Aunt Flo has loved me and visited for a year.
My blood tests are all perfect.
I got a green light.

Life if good and the weight isn't swimming off, but obviously this is proof that there is more to health that your weight.

Magic of a pedi & TMI

Now, for you guys who come on, this post is going to be "TMI" and you might want to leave.  For you girls, it's all about "normal" stuff, that most get- but, still, my be TMI for you.  For any of you, who, like me, have PCOS and "normal" never seems to work with your body- this is reason to celebrate for me.  And you PCOSers really will get it.
So, besides the fact that this picture if proof (for me) that the magic of painted toes works, it's also down from my typical Thursday weigh in picture.  YAY!  Granted, it's not Thursday, and I'm posting- but I won't record this.  I will however add in the TMI stuff.  This morning I woke up to my Auntie F visiting.  Which makes it 2 months in a row, on her own, and not brought on by medications.  Out of the last 4 months, I've seen her 3 times.  I believe it's a record for me.  I'm almost positive of this.

What this means for me is:
1.  Come my end of October appt, where Doc Lady wants me to try to lose 10-20 pounds, I might actually leave it with 2 medications off my list.  My only two, for HBP.  And with metformin not being added.
2.  If I can get off the meds I'm on now, and not be on met, I'll be given the green light to procreate.  Which hasn't been lighted in about a year or so, I can't remember when I was put on the meds, but not much over or below that year mark.
3.  Not that we plan on any kind of "let's knock her up fast" scenario.  I was quite firm in the "I want to get myself back in order before trying again," but it could happen.  If I get over-excited.  Which I'm likely to do.  But I won't.  I really want to lose at least 40 more pounds before we try anything.  60 would be better.  65 would put me at my goal weight.

Good golly- I figured it out!

So, me in my quest to not eat horribly, watch portion sizes, and read labels more (etc, etc) forgot one major thing for me. I forgot to check the calendar. Once I did, I got a little fluttery, thinking maybe my weight gain was because I was preggers. Then I laughed and reminded myself that preggers & my body are not friends and it would take a miracle to happen.

But still.... so I did a test, negative, just like I knew (if I'm being honest with myself.) So I dug out the cupboard and got the meds I swore I was done with. I've not had a visit from Auntie Flo for almost 5 months. Not unnormal, but on my special pills I got normal, sorta, and they helped me get her to come. Those same pills that made me feel slightly like a normal woman- made me cranky, tired, depressed and my family hated me. So I stopped.

I took them last week, and they still worked their magic. I was up another 3 pounds at yesterday's weigh in. This morning I am down that 3 pounds and I bet it continues now that my hormones have gotten a much needed dose of "real." Maybe I shouldn't have gone off the stuff, but I had to try.

Hoping this might help with my belly looking all bloated and preggo looking lately also.

Self- I promise to keep better track of my calendar. Love, Self.
